My research interests are in species distributions and community ecology within intertidal rocky shore habitats. I studied my undergraduate in Marine Biology and Coastal Ecology at the University of Plymouth, after which I moved to Sherkin Island, Ireland, where I conducted intertidal research, including rocky shore transect and rock pool surveys, monitoring long term changes in species diversity and abundance on the island.

I have recently started as a Research Technician at Bangor University working on the “Capturing our Coast” marine citizen science project. The project aims to train and support a network of volunteers that will collate marine ecological research, addressing questions on the impact of climate change and other anthropogenic impacts to intertidal community structure and biodiversity. My role involves recruitment, training and support of volunteers to participate in ecological studies and the set up and monitoring of targeted surveys.
